Hi Jessy: Is it called Rivaldi or something similar with a blue neon sign? Don't suppose anyone has a contact number for the owner?

Hi Andrew: Blimey, how many owners has Flippers had since it opened! Does the guy who owns the shop next door still own it? In my opinion it would need some seriously hard work to turn it around.

Thanks for confirming that Metin.

Andrew: In your opinion whats wrong with Flippers? I have my own ideas but would be interested in hearing other views. For my part I have tried F&C there under at least two owners and it has always been poor, and I'm being kind. The service was too slow and the product not up to my requirements. The first time (3 years ago?) it took well over 30 minutes to get my meal and I was the only customer in the shop! When we opened it at home we were very disappointed as it was very greasy and soggy. We tried Flippers last year as it was under new ownership but the end result was the same.

If anyone knows why Rivada closed down please let me know, it didn't seem to be open for that long but looked a nice place? Never tasted their F&C, was it any good? If anyone has contact details for the shop owner please leave the details here.

To all, is there enough market in the Girne area for a good quality Fish & Chip shop? No soggy fish or chips from us!
