Source: Dutch radio news Tuesday August 9 2011, 6 am:



"The friendly football match England vs the Netherlands (Wembley Stadium) will probably be postponed due to the rioting in the country. The decision will be taken tomorrow morning after consultation with the police. The Dutch team arrived in England yesterday. Players and officials are flabbergasted about the events around them."

▶ Nonsense? Some Brits here may not agree. "Quality people" - I've never used this expression related to http://www.cyprusnow.info . The thread on C44 were I stated this before was closed and deleted by a moderator.



P.S. IF the match will be played and IF the Netherlands (Holland) wins - the Netherlands (Holland) will lead the world ranking list for the first time in history. Just for the record and indeed: it has nothing to do with TRNC*.

In the circumstances it's hard to believe that football officials have to consult the police about a friendly match in or near London.

If the police forbids the match: more blame on them?

I'm ashamed that the Dutch KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association) has not yet decided not to play.
