Baby turtles released to the sea

This morning (Tuesday), a nest was excavated, and the baby turtles will be released into the sea tonight at 8.00pm. tonight.







Meet at Guzelyali Restaurant at 8.00pm on Karsiyaka beach.





Everyone is welcome.















Please remember that no flash cameras are allowed, when turtles are walking towards the sea.

You can see turtle hatchlings at Alagadi beach, east of Kyrenia.

Why is it that everyone is invited to go to the Karsiyaki release but at Alagadi it is limited to 15 ? We have been trying for days with no luck and as we live at Esentepe it is too far to travel to Karsiyaki.

Excavation for the nation (18/08/2011)

Goooooood morning turtle bloggers,



I am happy to say that we do have an excavation on this evening, which is located on our first beach, 3rd bay (bay on the right hand side of the beach bar). As usual if people can meet at the GS for 5:30pm, we can take you down to the nest from there. Alternatively those of you already thinking of heading down to the beach, if you keep your eyes peeled for red t-shirts followed by a (fingers crossed) large crowd, you are more than welcome to join them.
