tatlisu/akatu...........good old days,I remember going there 3 times a week to pick up local famers produce and take them to the market in nicosia,back in 70s-early 80s...........right where thay had built houses now.In them days we used to go through gecitkale/lefgonuk to get there and follow the road after towards kyrenia,going through bahceli/ayia marina,esentepe/..... through country lanes

Welcome I was just kidding...wishing you all the very best in all you do finding somewhere over here. Tatlisu is a very long way out if you do not have a car or intend to get one you will need to be Nr town or on the buses here.

You will have a fab time time at Tatlisu, you are overlooking the sea you will awake to the little fishing boats going out to sea. Make sure you take a stroll down the quaint little Marina just a 5 minute walk away, buy fresh catch of the day !! Enjoy.

Karsiyaka and Lapta are much quieter and beautiful with the mountain backdrop, but close enough to Kyrenia or Nicosia

Are you going NC alone as on some of the posts you say "we", if you are hiring a car Tatlisu is a lovely place to stay although I prefer to stay at the Pia Bella Hotel nearer Girne.
