On the other side of the island at present but my friend informs me that a new cash machine is now installed out side the Blue dream supermarket. Great news for us and others who no doubt will use it !!

How can it be old news ??????? the cash machine has only just been installed, and the supermarket was only opened last year !!

As far as I can see very few post on the glencoe forum, so now I understand your need to plug it !!

have been in touch with friends and the machine DOES NOT give out sterling as predicted by a person ( msg 8)on here who has been over here recently and could answer questions posted.

Over a month and still no reply from said poster who would 'find out'

I Don't suppose they dish out Russian roubles or Indian ruppees in any UK cash machine so why would you expect it to give out GBP in a Turkish run state, or am I the one being strange about that ??? Rhetorical Q only !!

There are two banks in Esentepe and you can certainly get lira from them, even if they are not your bank. I cannot say abou sterling as I have not tried.

mikey53. I get sterling from HSBC and TEB in North Cyprus then change it to Lira, just returned from a holiday in Turkey and got sterling from 3 bank cash machines there.
