Passport requirements for North Cyprus - - - - does anyone know

what validity has to be left on passport please? Have a friend who wants to come over in October for maybe three weeks,his current UK passport expires Feb 2012 - - - - - -- is this acceptable?

I believe you have to have a minimum of 6 months remaining.

IWe have been here before, when i had this problem with only 5 weeks left on my passport i made enquiries at both the north & south embassys in London and was told as long as you have enough time left on your passport to cover your trip its ok,

I was over this year from March to May on a passport that ran out early July without ant problem.

I re-newed my passport because we were going to Turkey for a holiday and I wouldn't have had 6 months left on it, but when I got it back it still ran for 10 years from the date of expiry on my old one, so I didn't lose out.

As for coming here, you only need a 'jobsworth' on passport control to have problems!
