Water bills in Catalkoy up by 20%

Just received this month`s water bill and although we only used 2 tonnes , yes 2, we get charged for 10. Although we get the minimum charge for Catalkoy which last month was TL 24.02 today`s one was TL 29.27.



I notice that the unit price was 7 and is now 12. I realise this is not a king`s ransom but it does seem a bit of a hike!!!

last year Ozankoys Muhtar had 2 sons getting married... ZOE!!!...we were asked for £250 per villa for different water supply...which we knew nothing about, most paid...i was threatened with my water supply being cut.....i didnt pay ...it was never cut, neighbors questioned the price...and haggled it down........just goes to show how slim shady he is !!! btw in Ozankoy min charge is 27.90tl

Moxie i find your post offending and nothing todo with looseboots' post....The Ozankoy muhtars office was taken over by girne Belediye in 2008,therefore it has been nothing to do with the muhtar for the past 3 years and the cost of water supplies or meters are down to the Belediye and as for 2 sons getting married,well actually he has 3 sons that are now all married and believe me you nor your neighbours paid for any of them.
