Perhaps if you want us to survive it might help to understand that we order from the UK and the process is UK to shipper, shipper to Famagusta, customs clearance, Famagusta to the shop, all of which has to be paid for including import tax. I'm afraid we cannot sell any cheaper than the published price. We do however have many books on special offer which includes the Book of the Week and many others, our Mind, Body, Spirit books are at discounted prices and we have a large section of titles at 10tl each or 3 for 25tl.

Nail on the head, Chris! I just noticed in Holland how many young people only read ebooks (and e-news papers) on their smart phones, iPads and what have you. Selling books and other printed matter imo is a dying profession - but the monks who once copied books manually didn't want to or couldn't see the sign of the times either - when printing was invented.

I love techology and agree that you can buy books at a much reduced rate to read on your ipad or kindle - but for me the thrill of opening a new book and turning over the pages can't be replicated. In my opinion books will never die out and are great gifts for all ages. Well done the Book Seller Bookstore for providing such a

great service.



When e-cards came in there were concerns that they would replace the tradition of giving and receiving cards - but they never did.



There is a market for both (e books/ ecards) and you make your own choice....and pay for what you get sounds like I have read that somewhere before on this forum ie scheduled flights/ budget airlines!!
