| Im looking to sell our house in TRNC. Seen some agents on here, not sure which are good but need someone who can sort a quick sale or can reliably rent out through. Want to be careful so doing my research. Quite prepared to take a cash buyer as we just want to move the house on. Cheers |

| Thanks for those replies! really helpful. Do you also know if there are any tax implications for renting over there? We have heard a rumour (on here in fact) that all rental agreements have to be registered with the TRNC govt. Is this right and what happens if an agent a) hasnt mentioned this b) hasnt done it? |

| All our rental properties are registered at the tax office. We pay the tax for the landlords at the tax office in Girne. Any one renting needs their rental agreement/contract stamped also before they can obtain temporary residency. Sunbeams |

| Hi Katie, All rental contracts have to be registered and stamped at the tax office within the first month - when you get the contract stamped you'll have to pay 0.5% of the total rental income for the whole contract (not actually as much as it sounds!). Then you have to pay 10% of the rent stated on the contract every month. As far as the government is concerned, it's you who is responsible for getting your tax paid (even if you're paying a company to do this for you) so it's best to ask your agent to keep all receipts and send you copies as proof that it's getting paid. If you need any further info, then let us know and we'll be happy to assist. Kirk Haksever Director Korinia Estate Agency Estate Agents Reg.
