Hi,

As a brief introduction, I am based in the south of Cyprus in Limassol but am originally from the UK and have been living in Cyprus since 2004.

We returned last week from our first overnight stay in Kyrenia. We've visited a number of times but only for the day so it was good to sample an evening along the harbour and make it a nice leisurely occasion instead of the usual rushing about.

The reason for my post today: I've been contacted today from someone from UK who is a collector of expired passports particularly those that contain different revenue stamps, hand stamps and national emblems.

He has passports from many countries but now he is looking now for passports from North Cyprus and is willing to pay for them. I understand he does buy on eBay so if there is anyone there who has such items, I would be pleased if you would let me know so I can pass on your contact details.

Many thanks

Are you for real? I should think Interpol would like to speak to you personally. As would British Immigration Derpartment.

The worrying thing is, there will be some poor innocent who is gullable eough to fall for this sort of rubbish. That's what the likes of this creep rely on.

What's the matter, is the question too difficult for you?

Yes, people do genuinely collect expired passports - those with the corners cut off.

Ok - no worries, forget it!

I did think twice about posting on here and now - I know why!

I'm a reputable stamp dealer from in the south of Cyprus and was contacted by a genuine collector and just for the record I deal in north Cyprus stamps as well.

I am beginning to think you do not realise how offensive you can be.

Note the Name CANYON

definition "A narrow chasm with steep cliff walls, cut into the earth by running water; a gorge"

no doubt that's where you would end up giving them your passport
