| Hi everyone
We are coming out again to TRNC in February with a view to buying a property, we are proposing to buy a property that is about 10yr old, is this easier than buying off plan |

Generally it is considered better to rent a property first. If you decide to buy a property then do not buy off plan (ever!) a place with title deeds in the possession of the vendor is a must. It doesn't matter so much about the age, but if there are no deeds (kochan) DO NOT BUY! |

Buying an older property, so that you can see exactly what you are getting is much better than off plan.

| NEVER, NEVER buy off plan. With a 10 year old villa you can see what you're getting for your money & you would expect to have all mains services connected, a kocan in the seller's name and any faults hopefully will have been rectified.

| Essentepe area relatively new in general, and deeds might be more of a problem that older residential areas, do your homework very very carefully. |
