loading a kindle in north cyprus

just bought a kindle can anyone tell me how to load it up please,do i need to go throught the network provider, which is nethouse by the way,please hepl if you can.

Hi if you have wireless turn on the wireless on the kindle and register it with Amazon. you can then buy and download books direct to your kindle. If you do not have wireless then you can purchse the books downloaded to your computer then connect the Kindle and upload to the Kindle from your computer

I have wireless but it didn't seem to want to let me connect the Kindle via that route. So I've resorted to downloading to the computer and then onto the Kindle, which is very easy and only takes seconds to do.

you need the password you use to log onto your wireless network

Have you ensured the 'wireless' is actually switched on. I think is switched off by default on a new unit.



If you are referring to the password to the wireless network, then your provider should have given you one to log on to the network, this is what the kindle is probably asking for.



When you do manage to connect, you will have to register the kindle with amazon (your account) in order to download any books direct.

Hi Wallysend

Where you want to buy or download a free book on Amazon in the "Buy Now" box there is a drop down box asking where you want it delivered. Click "Transfer via computer", then follow on screen instructions. Once it's downloaded, plug the kindle into your computer and drag the book from the download file into the document file of the kindle.
