Hi everyone,

Has anyone heard what entertainment is happening in the Girne area for the new year?We would realy like to celebrate the new year but it seems like its all inclusive hotels or not much else any advise much appreciated.

There is usually a big communal outside do with music and fireworks around the Harbour area - sort of street party - but food and drink not provided, though available at the cafes etc. Mostly Cypriots but no reason for expats not to go - experience local life. Be prepared for a lot of standing around , though, and for whatever weather there is on the night.

Lots of expats go to the harbour area,the Villa Swallow used to be the 'meeting point' but most now congregate near the Window bar,always something going on,the Beledeysi won't let you down.
