Hi everyone! I am holding my first photography exhibition titled "Northern Cyprus - A Splash of Colour" this weekend - Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November, 10am - 4pm, at Dogankoy Church.

Free entry with donations going towards the church restoration fund. All prints will be for sale with a percentage of sales being split between church fund and the North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust (NCCCT)

Directions - From the Lefkosa roundabout in Girne head towards the Bellapais traffic lights. When you come to a mini roundabout go straight across, NOT left to the Bellapais traffic lights. Carry on into Dogankoy village centre, past the Muhtar's office on the left and you will enter the one way system. After a couple of tight bends, the gravel track to the church will be signposted on the left hand side where parking is available.

Refreshments will also be on sale, again to raise funds for the restoration fund.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks guys! There's a mix of photos - some black and white, some colour, landscapes, flowers, wildlife and some abstract ones, so hopefully there's something for everyone!

I will be talking to Claudia on tomorrow's morning show on Radio FOG (101.8 FM) all about the exhibition so listen in if you want to know more about it.

Make time to visit this exhibition, Susie is a very talented photographer and you will also be supporting two very worthwhile causes. See you Saturday Susie!

Thanks for the support Mel

See you tomorrow Incilay!

The exhibition is a real mix of subjects and although it may not all be to everyone's tastes, I hope that everyone finds at least one photo that they like making their visit to the exhibition worthwhile. If nothing else, come and discover this hidden gem of a church!

What a wonderful array of photo`s.

Well done Susie, they were fantastic pictures. Some beautiful sunsets and tasteful mix of colour and black and white.

Well worth a visit tomorrow if you didn`t go today and Dogankoy Church is such a beautiful setting too.

There will be a picture there that will be to your taste as there is a brilliant variety.

You are also able to have a cuppa and pice of cake while you decide which ones you want to buy.

Susie, I think you can be very proud of yourself............

Hope it will be the first of many exhibitions.

Congratulations on a successful exhibition Susie, great to see so many people made it and appreciated your work. For those of you who missed it I understand Susie will have a selection of the photographs from the exhibition available for sale on her website. Don't forget Susie can be booked for private functions ( parties etc) - guaranteed she will capture your memories beautifully.

Thank you to all who took the time to come and see the exhibition today, it was lovely to see and chat to you all. Lots of prints sold and orders taken so hopefully we're well on our way to raising a tidy sum for both good causes.

The church is a little difficult to find and apologies if the signposting is not as obvious as I'd hoped. Please note that the turning to the church is on the left hand side and looks somewhat like a private gravel drive. It's a very tight bend back on yourself which is made somewhat more daunting by the fact it's on the edge of a ravine. BUT, please perservere round that tight bend and drive down the gravel track to the church where there is plenty of parking space.

Hope to see more of you tomorrow - if you wish to see me personally I will be there all day apart from between 12 noon and aproximately 1.30pm as I will be photographing the Rembembrance Sunday service in Kyrenia.

Thank you again for your support!

I went today and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. There is a great diversity in the pics and Susie sees things we miss and it is a joy to have them pointed out.

Thank you and well done Susie (also my daughter loves the print).

I so hope you're going to hold another exhibition soon. I set off this morning to see your pictures, ran the gauntlet of the road diversions for the Remembrance service, and found Dogankoy village,-- did three circuits of the village firstly ending up on the main Girne-Lefkosa road, secondly, arriving on the new piece of road under the Bypass, and thirdly, coming out just East of the Bellapais traffic lights!!! I didn't see any sign of the Dogankoy Church,--I did however discover a lovely area, previously unknown to me, and which I shall visit again to explore more thoroughly, so my morning was not wasted!! My navigational and directional skills have always been very good in the past, but not this morning.

I still hope to see your wonderful pictures one of these days

Hey, Warbabies, you could have come with us. I found it third time around. Signs not big enough for my rotten eyesight. And it was a cold day. I parked the car and swalked as there was a bit of a nasty bend, leaving Alan and dog in the car. worth going. I have got photos of some of them which I am happy to share - if that helps.

Another thank you to all that did manage to find the church and came to the exhibition. Apologies again to those that couldn't find it despite my best efforts. The custodians of the church have told me that the Muhtar is on the case to get some proper signs put in place for the future. Thank you to Incilay Fell and Paula and Tom Shirley for asking me to do the show and for providing the venue ( http://www.northcyprussmallevents.com )

I have been truely overwhelmed by the amount of support for me and my work and will try to do another show in the future. For those that didn't get to see the exhibition you can view my work at http://www.susieforster.com where there are many of the photographs that were on display plus lots of others. Please feel free to contact me for prints and/or commissions.

Another heartfelt thank you to all who came and supported the church restoration fund and the NCCCT charity through their purchases

Just to let all of you lovely people who came to the exhibition know that we managed to raise 260tl for the NCCCT and another 260tl for the Dogankoy Church restoration fund. They also managed to raise 198tl through donations plus another generous amount that is yet to be finalised (after costs have been deducted) from the refreshments. So another big thank you to you all.

If you ordered any prints from me, please be assured that they are being processed and I will be contacting you shortly to arrange collection/delivery

Hi Susie, unfortunately I didn't get to see you photos. Where would it be possible to see them? I am writing a blog about life in Kyrenia http://www.mykyrenia.com, it would be nice to see your photos and maybe you can post some on my website
