Paul, in 2 words...A LOT!! I have already mopped up 12 buckets of water, and it is just flowing in, i can't keep up....but hey ho....it's just water....right..... :~/

It is pretty horrible out west at the moment lets hope it drys up soon & we can sort out the mess.

Count myself as fortunate, had a few worried hours when the water poured into the north side of our house faster than we could mop up with over 20 bathsheets, beach towels and hand towels. We were spinning them in the washer which took 15 minutes, then running back upstairs and swapping them, over and over again, the water poured out of the bedrooms onto the landing and into the bathroom. We have some walls which are totally soaked, the water has actually gone right through the concrete and plaster and paint and we can see the outline of those bricks which the house was built with. The water also came through a light switch which is a bit scary.



Anyway, it has stopped now, we have just had our tea, the fire is lit and there is nothing we can do except wait for morning.



Why are we fortunate? Because the roof was sound!



We know there is always someone worse off than ourselves so do not complain. Hope everyone is OK out there.

Great info, afraid to go look at my place tomorrow, just had all the weeds pulled and ground dug,, most of the soil probably washed away.. hopefully that's all.
