We just returned from holiday, used this company for the third time. Very reliable, great service, English speaking, drive safely. Would recommend highly, at least they mail the previous day or ring to confirm. No, we do not have any connnection with the company.

I asked you the foolowing question the last time you came on here touting. Are we going to get an answer? "So Mr Taxiexpress1 are you going to break the cartel price fix of £50 and offer the £40 all year? A simple YES or NO will do. No bullshit about keep looking out for special offers!! You keep bringing it to the top and I will keep asking you the question."

£50 is very resonable! Most of the rest are quoting £60.

Lapta tim sorry to disappoint but I'ts been a great Christmas up to now. The guy is asking for feedback I agree. Feedback on providers is a positive way of driving up good consumer service. I will give him feedback gladly just as soon as he answers the outstanding question form his last visit to this forum.Stockiefan I have never paid £60, I dont know anybody that has paid £60. If you have then well done, you most certainly have been. I pay £25 each way legally from Larnaca and that also includes travelling as one family, not shared. The company I use does this at a concession rate if you hire a car from them. The car hire rates are at a competitive rate to other hire companies. I believe in challenging not taking it on the chin. I like value for money as do most people. I e-mail hire companies giving them the chance to beat or match a competitor. They usually decline. I also follow it up with a courtesy e-mail telling them I wont be using them and who I intend to use. It's effective!

we have used a-onerent a car in the past, but the last year was the last time........... Now gone back to greenrentacar, who charge £50 each way... It would be good to have prices put up of your rates for using a taxi at least 5 times a year to and from Larnaca, not just the deals...

We always recommend A1 when people book our holiday villa as their cost from Larnaca is £25 e\w. Why pay more ?

Stubbs1, a few questions, How does the £25 each way car hire work from Larnaca or Girne ? Do you pick up at Larnaca and leave the car in Girne and then pick up the car in Girne and leave at larnaca for the return journey ? If so, where are the pick up and disposal places ? Is this a 24 hour service ? Are there people at hand to check the vehicle and see the amount of petrol remaining etc ? I'm interested who does this ? Gerry

Birdman we always use A1 for our visitors never been let down and the saving on transfers go a long way towards the car hire. Certainly worth giving them a call or you can find there office opposite the Altikaya hotel on the Bellapais road. Annie

Taxi Express I dont get commision from A-one, however I will be alerting him to this thread and I will bloody well insist on it. Welcome to a world of competitive business. If more people did what I did in TRNC there would be less complaints about being ripped off. Come on folks, are you really getting a good deal or do you just think it's a good deal? Challenge at every opportunity. Pull out of a deal if they don't bargain with you. Trust me they bargain with there own. Stop being the cash cow that provides the easy pickings. What to do. Ask if they can match a-one on rates and deals if they say no then confirm to them that a-one wil get your business. That is of course unless somebody with a good buisness acumen comes in at a better rate than a-one. The general principle adopted at present appears to be, as few cutomers as possible with as much profit. Think about it when you are being smiled at and offered coffee.

The A1 rent a car discussion is a bit removed from the original post. However.... after reading the same conversation last year and the recomendations on A1 rent a car, I thought I'd give it a try. NEVER AGAIN..... What a shambolic company!. Having been picked up in a car from Paphos which had no suspension or working air con... I then needed to return 2 cars before the third one recieved was road worthy. The return to Larnaca airport was a joke, where they attempted to car share with other families...... I wouldn't care if it were free, I still wouldn't use them again..... "sorry, my opinion"... I would rather pay for a safe journey and a reliable car for hire.

my thoughts are that you have no third party passenger liability insurance when you have paying passengers whilst in the South.... What if you have a crash and seriously injure someone, who will pay ?? A Cypriot shrug isn't going to be much in the way of compensation is it ???

To all others I can confirm that TaxiExpress has a LEGAL Tplate, we pay all our taxes and hold the required insurance in order to provide our customers with the best quality service. I do agree with the comment that No car has full insurance on the Greek side, this does not matter if you a taxi or private individual. Our current offer price, which is valid until the 15th March 2012 for Larnaca transfers is £40 each way. If anyone requires any further information or a quotation please contact me on either taxiexpress.trnc@gmail.com and/or on 05488388840 and/or on 05338799973.

Not sure we will be using A1 again, last time we were there we got a flat tyre, went into the boot.....No spare, phoned the company and it took them an hour to get to us (just past Mambo's) with no spare! They then left the car where it was and took us to the office where we were given another banger, previous to this it had been ok.

I was very pleased with the service and price when we used you to Paphos at Christmas. I will be using you again and fully understand that special offers are available to help you get through the leaner times. It is standard business practise and very normal in a competitive environment. Thanks
