Gidday all, I need to post some files and books and other household papers from North Cyprus to Australia.

Is the local postal system up to doing this reliably? is it likely to be expensive? or is there any better way available?

Hi

I posted an Xmas present in one of those padded envelopes to Canada around the 11th

December. It arrived before Xmas. It was a light parcel with a polo shirt in and cost me 5tl.

I was very impressed. My first time posting from TRNC. Cheaper and quicker than from the UK.

Will definitely use again.

Hope this helps.

I post to the UK regularly and don't have a problem. Sometimes if I want to make sure just in case, then I'll pay an extra couple of Lira to have it sent recorded. Don't take your parcel sealed, they'll want to look inside to check the contents before it's sent.

Sorry I don't have the rates though I can tell you that I sent a small parcel last week reg'd (don't know the weight but it was a tile about 4" square wrapped with lots of bubble wrap) and that cost me 7.50tl.

Have been using the postal service here for lots of small packets and parcels for over 6 years........have had no problems.

They don't even check my contents anymore.

I always treat them at Christmas and Bayrams........that may help !!!

I always use "the south" postal service......it is excellent. Its not unusual for letters/packets to arrive in the UK within 3 days.....and thats just regular service.
