Unfortunately you are not allowed to do it early but can do it late with penalty!!!

There are groups A B C &D what do they relate to which group is petrol cars ?

my registration is not in group D but in group A

I thought I was due in 2013 being as the car was registered & mot'd in 2010

I looked on the link and it says mine is due next month but the mot is dated 2010 and as it lasts three years there is something wrong somewhere.

Deniz1, I think you'll find that your registration will appear on every year's publication. I'm assuming that you'll pick out your registration if you believe your's is due in that year, eg, AB001 might be 2012, AB002 in 2012, AB003 in 2014, and have it done in the 2 weeks allocated for your particular registration.



That's what I'm working on at the moment. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm thinking wrong.

Private cars are group D - Özel means 'Private' in this context

The other groups are for commercial vehicles, taxis, motorbikes, and so on.

So all private car owners should use part 'D' of the table.

Had another look it says mine is due september this year. But that is still only 2 years i thought the mot lasted for three. The last one was done in october 2010.

BTT does anyone know the answer to message 18 please? The current MOT was done in February 2009 so I thought it would be due for another this year.......but I cannot see KN on the listing for 2012 so am thinking now that I might have missed it.

I could take a guess at the reason, and possibly come up with a few different explanations, but I think that the only way that you will find out the facts is to go along to the motor tax dept. and ask them...
