I don't think a dog like that is suitable for this climate - with so much fur it will overheat throughout the summer.

yes your right, but if there was one my friend has just lost hers and she would love to have another one but i think she would have to get one from england... and then again it would be too hot for him/her...

its called a old english sheep dog and they really don't like the extreme hot weather even if you have them clipped

dogs with long coat SUFFER much more from the heat than dogs with short coat..

We have one that comes to stay with us. She has a hair cut in the summer months and is none the worse for it.

Particularly not such an unsuitable type - it is not just the heat - think of all the grooming, it is hard enough keeping the coats of a spaniel and Cyprus terrier free of insects, burrs, seed heads etc. With a coat like an Old English Sheepdog it would be a 12 hour a day 7 day a week task!

thank you very much nirvana, you dont even know me... the duluk dog is for a friend... i want a chihuahua dog for myself and i want an iphone... i wanted to do trips to ercan and a cleaning job to get some more money thats all... doesnt mean io wouldnt be around for the dog...
