Coming to stay in Ozankoy in june wondered if anyone has any details of walks around this area.

There are some beautiful walks in the area, especially the old Crusader trail up to Bellapais, if you find the Five Fingers Bar see Alex he has books all about the walks in and around Ozankoy.

It is a great area for walking. A nice circuit is from Ozankoy up the crusader route to Bellapais - stop in the gardens of Kybele fr drinks or lunch, then walk through to the back of the village and follow the road back down to Ozankoy. It really is stunning -you will love it !

Please be wary when walking up the Crusader path or anywhere around mountain areas because of snakes. Take a stick, walk in the middle of paths, don’t go wandering around in the undergrowth, and leave them well alone if you come across one!

Around 3 miles maybe a little more, its about about 1 in 6 climb in places, so you must be reasonably fit. June can be hot, so always take water with you. Wear sensible shoes, and walk early in the morning. The views are fantastic once you reach the top......enjoy

I can verify all of the above, as I live just below the start of the crusader road and that is one of my regular walks. If you start from the Five Fingers bar, it should take you about an hour at a leisurly walk to do the circular route, depending how long you stay in beautiful Bellapais of course! If this is your first visit I reckon you will be gobsmacked!!! It is so stunning.
