I'm actually quite good at pool Groucho and would of been there tonight to finally beat you at something (although we did draw at the quiz) but unfortunatley I have an online poker game at 9.

I new it hurt... you should have been sent off for fielding an illegally numerated team ha ha Time to vote off.... the weakest link.

No doubt you'll win next time with 5 players as we are not going to Kings any more. Partly due to someone complaining to the barmaid that the same people always win... which seems a bit of a stretch after only two events... but we'd hate to be the cause of others not enjoying their evening...

Groucho retires undefeated...

I did say 'someone', not 'you'

But it doesn't really make any difference who it is.. If people can't lose with good grace that's for them... not us.

you are becoming such a bore on this board, and for such a smart a**e you should be thoroughly ashamed of your language, such a big fish in such a small pond, great that you feel so smug !

I dont think !

I don't think using coy asterisks actually makes what you are saying less offensive so why bother... I don't usually unless the word is particularly strong..

As for being smug... maybe I am, but what is your excuse?

Have I ever done anything to upset you, replied to one of your postings in an ill-tempered manner.. I think not.. but perhaps you can enlighten us all... you on the other hand have jumped into a light-hearted bit of banter with your vitriol..

So come on, tell us what gives girl...

Then f*ck off... and annoy somebody else...

Merry Christmas!

I must point out lest my post (4) be misconstrued that the barmaid did not tell us this, it was reported to us that this had been overheard...

I'm am not sure, therefore, who the main protagonist was.

Groucho

people who overhear usually get the gossip wrong,

how could the post be misconstrued YOU stated that it was someone who complained to the barmaid, how can that be misconstrued ?

BTW for someone who has only been on the board for about 8 months you are quickly shooting to the top of the posters 2308 now !! congratulations

;0

Are you 'Sad really'?

However, I felt on re-reading my post (as Gooligan seemed to have taken exception to it) that it might be mis-construed that:-

A. I was implying that Gooligan was the complainer, and

B. That the I might have implied that the barmaid told me, which is not so.

As for "people who overhear usually get the gossip wrong"

I don't think it's very easy to mis-construe "Why do the same people always win" or something very similar... as you appreciate I was not a party to the conversation... but the gist seems fairly clear.

Hey Groucho,I never took exception to anything.I genuinley wanted to know who complained.I never thought you implied it was me.

For the record,to whoever complained, the same people do not always win,the last one was a draw.

Ha ha...

But we were quicker on the draw!

Any way it would have been a tie and not a draw in Cricket terms...
