I found out that 4 Gb internet cost monthly is much more for the dongle than the mobile telephone. The funny thing is that you can remove your sim card from the mobile and put it into the dongle and it works. So get a new sim card for your mobile and activate the internet. Then you can put it in the dongle and you can get internet for almost half price. Presto!!!!

Get a new sim card for your mobile with 4 Gb monthly internet and use that sim card in your dongle. don't tell them that you intend to use it with your dongle. I will cost you I think 27 TL per month for the same service.

Some people use them on their new i-phones and can share the internet with up to 4 people in the same house.

@ msg 3, elko2: An iPhone 4 or 4s with the latest Operating System (iOS 5.1 or even 5.0.1 or 5.0 - I'm not sure about 4.3.5) can have FIVE clients connected via the Hotspot (WiFi) facility. I use it all the time with my iPad when I'm out of my house.

And we use it when there is a power cut: My iPhone 4 with Turkcell 3G serving my iPad 2, my wife's iPhone 3GS and her iPad 2. It's a perfect solution!

Help.

I am returning next week with my new Ipad 2. Can I buy a small sim card from turkcell or do they just cut down a full size one?

Where is the best turkcell shop to sort this out?

msg 5, Erol,

My informant told me that he was paying 29 TL for 4 GB monthly on his mobile and 4 GB for computer dongles (same sim card) 60 TL. I will ask him if he is still getting the 4 GB for 29 TL or have they put up the price to 60 TL quietly?

@ msg 5 (Erol) and 8 (Ismet): I have a 1 (one)Gig 3G Turkcell package on my normal subscription and must 27 TL per month.

@ msg 6, Northcyprus74: iPhone 4 (iOS5.1): make Hotspot active in the settings. On a Macintosh choose the iPhone in the Network settings. That's it. (I don't know how to do it on PC's, but Erol probably will know).

Re sharing a 3G data connection with laptops using wifi, with an android device it would be in settings / wireless & network settings / Tethering & potable hotspot. Here you would set a SSID (name) and password.

On the PC end just search and connect to the android device same way you would any other wifi network, search for it, select it , enter password if needed and you are away.
