Has anyone had any dealings with this company (good or bad) and can you please give me your opinion on the Karpaz region, in particular, is it a convenient place for supermarkets, restaurants, and easy to nip around the area on a moped to do your shopping? I've heard the beaches in this area are quite spectacular. Any information would be appreciated. Cheers Abby

TonyH: you have to use whatever you can get .............. if I was more adventurous I'd use a motorbike but my short little legs can't hold one up!! Anyway, on a hot summer day there's nothing like zooming around on a moped, I love it.

lovingcyprus: After years of driving in Syria and Libya, I feel I've picked up enough bad habits to make driving in TRNC a breeze! 'Expect the unexpected' is on my mind every day when I drive; however, some days I have more patience than others. Also, I've driven a moped in South Cyprus - I imagine the roads are better there but I'm reasonably confident (Oh Dear, famous last words.........)

hi abby for me driving in cyprus is a breeze most of the roads are up to standard and the only thing you got to watch out for are the racer boys, compared to the drivers and the roads in turkey where they make up their rules of the road, but i must say the two worst places for driving where i have lived has to cario in egypt and bankok in thailand, you will be fine in and around town its just the dual carriage ways you got to be carfull of regards ukturk

Hi Ercan (ukturk) I agree about Cyprus (well, what I saw in the south anyway). It's very different being on the roads on a nice summer day, when there is no rush to get anywhere and you can just enjoy the scenic routes ..... life is good. I'm surprised at your comments on the driving in Turkey; when I was there I thought the driving was OK, because now I compare all driving experiences with my daily encounters on the roads of Tripoli!!! Really, anywhere else is a breeze in comparison. I would imagine it would be the same as driving in Cairo, or, for TonyH, driving in Baghdad!! There just aren't any rules .... Oh dear, this thread has suddenly become all about countries with the worst driving

Abby Try Google Earth, tho it shows cyprus as it was about 2 years ago.Supermarkets in the Karpas ,hope not!.Mind you last couple of years developments have been edging ever further up there,so soon might be within moped range wherever you are.Mind the wild donkeys.
