Glapsides Public Beach

Not Available

A little further up the coast, just before Salamis, is Glapsides Public Beach. Glapsides Public Beach is a great place to bring the kids, as the water is shallow and the sea calm. It's also a safe place for them to learn to snorkel too – with parental supervision, of course! The beach restaurant and bar is lively, with a resident dj and a eager crowd of young university students enjoying the music.

Active types can hire jet skies, pedaloes and kayaks, and there are showers available at Glapsides Public Beach in North Cyprus to cool off after all that activity. Sun lovers can hire a sun bed and sun shade instead!

Glapsides Beach is also a great place for bird-watching in north Cyprus, as migrating birds fly over the wetlands around Famagusta twice a year.  The sun doesn't stop when the sun goes down either; the restaurant organise beaches parties in the warm summer nights.

No wonder Glapsides Public Beach was voted second-best beach in North Cyprus, after Karpas Golden Beach! You can also camp at Glapsides Public Beach, although to most Turkish Cypriots, 'camping' usually means pitching a canopy as a sun-shade just for the day and not sleeping overnight!
