No, Alagadi beach is the breeding ground for the turtles, so no camping there. The beach in Caplica has wooden huts, this is about a 15/20 min drive from Alagadi Beach. Also many beaches on the Karpas have huts etc. As for camping Im pretty sure you cant just pitch a tent up on any beach. Hope this helps.

Yes that's right, Alagadi has a S.P.A.

The beach is closed to the public from 8 pm until 8 am through Turtle Season May-Oct. There is also an exclusion zone at sea May-Oct, so NO water craft should be there either, and NO dogs are allowed at this time. This is to stop dogs digging and watercraft hitting any mating turtles or later hatchlings, so please help protect them.

The self-funded Marine Turtle Conservation Volunteers walk the beach every 10 mins, all night and protect all nests that are laid there. Call on them at The Goat Shed, in Alagadi Village and find out more about their work, or check out - http://turtleproject09.blogspot.com.

Thanks guys I did think this was the case and had told hubby but needed to find out for definite. He wants to camp with the boys on a beach but doesnt want to have to drive up to Karpaz to do it. I say dont camp, stay in an air conditioned apartment instead and pop your tent up in the lounge!!! LOL!

Hi Nicky,

Bowman is right, on the way to Kaplica there is a fantastic beach for camping. I would say it is about 30 minutes drive from Turle Bay Village, it is sign posted from Tatlisu.
