Have a look at the map on the link below (click the map with your mouse to enlarge it):

Fast road towards towards Larnaca and then head off to Protaras.

hi haver

welcome to the forum

this has been discussed many times in the past below ive provided a link where you can find all the info you want, also if you click on border crossings on the sub section on the main page you wont have to go thru the trouble of posting a new thread

http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/772.asp

im my experiance the best crossing to use is the famagusta- paralimni crossing located near the british army base in famagusta old town close to the harbour, once you have crossed over drive to parlimni the road splits one road goes to agia napa and the other goes to protaras just follow the road toward fig tree bay on the same road

hope this helps

regards

p.s it does totally depend on where you are staying in north cyprus if you are in famagusta then defo the famagusta crossing is the quickest and easy

Haver

I agree totally with ukturk.

We stayed in Protaras last year, it's about 13 km to the Famagusta border crossing.

Drive north through Paralimni to Deryneia, turn left at the traffic lights, and would you believe it I can't find my Cyprus road map for the place names. Bear with me and I'll try and find it!

Here we are.

follow the road to Frenaros, then take a right signposted Vrysoulles, at the end (T Jcn) turn right, go straight over a couple of roundabouts and you are at the border.

Easy, isn't it?

Hi.

Good news as we Didn't know the Famagusta crossing was open. Intending to stay near Paralimni.

We are driving from uk through Turkey and hoping to cross to north Cyprus, then over border to the south.

Any info?

Thanks John & hazel
