You can go over the mountains on the new road - should be able to do it in 1h 15 mins....

Having only done this route in a taxi...4 years ago when the developers were still talking to me to get me to sign the contract!..... what are the directions for this route? I will be doing it on August 2nd.

Where is this "new road"....I have an oldish map....do you need to follow the coast road, east from esentepe to join it? turn right....then it takes you over the mountains, past Gicitkale airport?, going due south, finally to Pyla



If not which "new road are you referring to?

That's the one, turn right at the end of this road, (by petrol station), then shortly turn left to Gecitale, cross the main Lefkosa to Gamimagusta road, then proceed to Pyla.

if you land at larnaca any later than 10ish pm i would not chance the Pyla route as the insurance booth seems to close pretty early.
