the first big supermarket for shopping in the south please. I want to get a new visa and look for some shopping stuff. I get lost easy. If I have a place name to follow on a signpost it is easier. I hear there is a Carrfeur nearby.

Hi Corbo,

Here's all the directions you should need for both shopping malls,

New Super Home Centre is the one you want.

From the BORDER.

Turn RIGHT just after GC Cypriot Kiosk, then turn RIGHT again,

Follow this road to T-junction traffic lights.

Turn RIGHT, follow road straight through “RINGS” * r/about,

Until you pass large Greek Church on the LEFT,

Take next LEFT following Larnaca signs, passing,

Jumbo and Arraamides on LEFT, then Orphanides on RIGHT.

When you come to “BALL” roundabout, under A1 go straight ahead, then take 1st LEFT to T-junction, turn LEFT for Ikea or RIGHT for Super Home Centre



* New Super Home Centre

Above, when you come to “RINGS” roundabout take 1st LEFT to traffic lights, stay in RIGHT LANE, turn RIGHT at lights.

This leads you to new Super Home Centre & Carrefour etc.

can some one give good directions to the big marks and spencers and mother care is? i always go towards orphanides and not turn towards to orphanides and turm right instead i turn left and straight then i find mother care and M&S is there a faster route.

have found ikea, and the carrefour, but where is the big M&S, please?. By the way Mark (corbo) Did I spot you the other day down at the sempati hotel? It was the saab which made me twig! I was going to speak to you but had an important call on the phone, and when I had finished, you had driven off, before I got the the chance.

Its 4 floors the big M&S its fantastic, drive as you going orphaineds instead of turning to orphanides turn left you drive about fast mins and its in front of you, but i need a quicker route does any one know

I'd be interested too but I've tried a few and always get lost, the way you go is by far the simplest.

To Metehan

Take dual carriageway from Girne to Lefkosa, turn right at 'bolders' roundabout, at next set of lights turn left (it's a filter lane). Follow this road down all the speed bumps and turn right at roundabout at bottom of road(you should see Lemar sign on left in distance). Get into right hand lane and go straight through traffic lights/roundabout (follow the signal immediately in front of you, not the ones on the roundabout). Just ahead on right is exchange place if you need currency, straight ahead is crossing point.

Lapta Paul..back now. I'm sure Naveks directions were sound but I found it hard to initially find the border crossing and then when over the border after almost driving through the Greek customs check without stopping after the passport check, I drove around central Nicosia completely lost for 90 minutes. Had a look at it and got my 90 day Visa so not all bad. Next time I'll take someone who knows exactly where the supermarkets are and who want s a lift. Email me if anyone wants a lift.
