Hi all,



Went to apply for my TRNC driving licence last week and am due to pick it up today. Does anyone know if the office where you pick up the licences is open in the afternoon??

yes i think so but they close for lunch so after 2:00 maybe wise

Brilliant, thanks Andrew... much appreciated. I don't suppose you know which office it is...or do I do as I did when I went to apply and just go in to every door and hope someone tells me what to do?!

By the way... I'm referring to the offices in Lefkosa...

its the one on the left side next to the stairwell that you went up to to apply in the first place, if you look in the office there its just a counter and behind lots of files/boxes all with numbers or dates or something like that on them and a big fat chap lounging at the back i suppose hese there to block you stealing them hehe

Hi there... my ability in giving directions are worse than useless but ... Basically, it is right near the buildings you go to get your ownership documents when you buy a car. It is the other side of the big car park. I will not start to try and give my directions as I'm sure the way I go is not the easiest route - but it works for me!! I'll leave it to someone a little more knowledgeable!

Head from Girne to Nicosia, straight on at the first big roundabout and just keep heading straight. Eventually you'll pass the Merit hotel on the right and a little later the road forks (if you were going to Lefkoşa you'd bear right, there's also a sign going to Ledra Palace at that fork). You take the left hand fork. When you see the big Turkcell main office on the left hand side, on the corner, turn left. Follow the road down, I think it's probably about 500 yards along there on the right. You'll pass a small row of shops first on the right, then it's the next row of buildings/offices on the right. There's a carpark opposite, do use it. I went to pick up my licence today. I parked outside the office last week and got a parking fine!! Have fun.
