I seldom complain regarding travel companies but over the last 2 months the delays from Thomas Cook have been absolutely disgusting and tonight has put the tin lid on them, the last lot of friends have had delays over three hours, but today my family with a two year old child have had a wait of six hours we could not get any information from Thomas Cook regarding just how long the delays would be!!!

Wouldn`t it great if someone would acknowledge there is a place north of Newcastle called Scotland and once again we could get direct flights from Glasgow to Ercan not larnaca, personally I would never travel from larnaca.

A very annoyed Ellie

The French air traffic controllers staged a strike this morning it had a HUGE knock on effect for all aircraft travellers today. All the flight information was available, including delays and ETA's on line.

Maybe Thomas Cook cannot be held responsible for the delays and not just those living North of the border would like to see direct flights to Ercan.

You see Lilli, there was absolutely no point to your post so why did you bother. A bit like my post really.

My customers???? I am retired, but why so caggie about where you get your deli products. I believe you used to say on here you imported them from all over the world. Can't believe you can get deli stuff through customs as it would be illegal. And please STOP suggesting i am someone else.

I feel very sorry for Ellie and her relatives however I took my wife to Larnaca on Sunday for aThomas Cook flight to East Midlands and the flight left on time and arrived 10 minutes early. They're not all bad then.

Again probably not just Thomas Cook. I think it is the baggage handlers at the airports that do the loading. Chaos was caused by the French action and delayed slots and baggage back up and backlog are all part of the knock on effect I am afraid, sad but true. I hope your friends and the luggage are reunited soon though.

Perhaps living in Cyprus has made me more relaxed about the hassles that flying can bring.
