Had a great chat with a lovely character today who told me that he travels from Larnaca to Nicosia on a Bus for 11 ytl, he then travels on a bus from Nicosia to Girne for 7ytl then tavels from Girne to Esentepe for 4ytl

Not only does he travel cheap he gets to chat to the locals which improves his Turkish !!

Could not travel myself personally this way but so admire this guy. wonderful !!

We tried public transport once in the UK travelling from home to the airport. It was a nightmare. You know what it's like - delays, cancellations, roadworks and detours. Connections had to be replanned throughout the journey and it was touch and go whether we'd make in on time.

I suppose it's a great way to travel if you don't have any appointment to keep and can relax!

I agree not for me either, but great if you are by your self like this guy, he never mentioned he incurred any problems with any of his travelling, I just found it interesting !!

I got a friend who is a bus driver as well.

Very interesting people bus drivers.

Should have thought to post this myself but I just didn’t think to do it.

They know loads of stuff.

Especially good with local information.

Can’t remember his name though.

Good post Pipie.

urban areas service excellent and free to me especially useful matchdays drop off by Billy Wright,s statue

Man in Walsall organising the second clockwise trip round English coast by bus 15 days all free travel he's studying what effects the cuts have been on services

Lots of friends of my son are Polish and are always confused that we say thank you to the driver as we exit the bus
