Well, if the car hire company allows that, you may do so.

Try this firm: http://www.cyprus-car.com

A copy-paste from their rental terms page:

CUSTOMER QUESTION: Can I drive the vehicles to North Cyprus?

You may drive to North Cyprus but you will need to pay for separate insurance at the border (10 CYP for 7 days, open 24/7), because there is no insurance company in south Cyprus that covers accidents in north Cyprus. You may use the following 3 border points to pay for insurance and pass 24/7: Ayios Demotios in Nicosia, Pergamos (Pyla) in Larnaca and Vvisoules Strovilia in Famagusta.

Your clean, air conditioned car and English-speaking driver will be waiting for you. now you can stop worrying - let us take the stress out of your airport transfers.

What happens at the Airport?

Look out for our driver holding a clipboard with your name and flight number. Introduce yourself - away you go.

What happens if the flight has a long delay?

This is why we ask for your flight number. Our drivers use this to check when your plane is expected to land. They will be waiting for you when you do arrive no matter how bad the delay is and you pay the price we quoted you.

Seeking Advice. Is there any car hire firms in the South that would deliver a car to the border. As I would like to visit the South and North while over for my next trip. Is this an option?
