The reason Poppins Restaurant needs a Chef so often is Simple,!!! because when they start employment they claim to have a work permit and to be LEGAL!!, However two months later it turns out they have no work permit and are illegal and refuse to hand their passport over and papers. So now we are fed up with dishonesty and want a RELIABLE hard working and an HONEST English Chef who has experience in cooking traditional english dishes and breakfasts, together with good social skills to interact with customers, salary will be based on previous experience and following a trial period will be reviewed. As mentioned before live-in accommodation is available, so please do not apply if you have no WORK PERMIT or the necessary papers to stay in Northern Cyprus, Call Zeki on 5338313309

Sounds a bit of an excuse that one, I may be wrong but is it not up to the employer to apply for the work permit for the employee as work permits are not transferrable between employers And as for handing over a passport, anyperson who does that is asking for trouble surely

already having a work permit only means that there legal for the business that the work permit applies to, but common sense would surly be you don't start them working until you have all there documents and copies and the work permit application as been applied for

You must have a work permit to work in North Cyprus. Work permits, which are temporary, are currently only being granted to those offered a specific post, which cannot be filled by a qualified North Cypriot citizen. Furthermore, you cannot officially apply for a work permit while you are actually in North Cyprus, although this position appears to be flexible on a local level. Always check with the government before taking employment for the first time. You must find a North Cyprus employer who is willing to apply on your behalf to the Migration officer at the Ministry of Interior. The Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance will advise the Migration Officer as to the current workplace position for jobs such as you are applying for, and guide the Officer through the labour laws. It is for your future employer to prove that he needs your skills, and your skills only.

Message 6 Why do you not make some one legal and apply for a work permit for them, you will still get your interest on the 1000 Euros you must lock in the bank, then you know 100% that your chef is fully legal. I agree with message 7,8,9.

Don't understand this, as ONLY an employer can get a work permit for and employee, even if they have a work permit from another business this becomes invalid as soon as they leave that possition. And if you are told as you said "when they start employment they claim to have a work permit and to be LEGAL!!, " Why would not check their paper work?
