North Cyprus beaches often are near historic sights, but this one actually IS a historic sight! This tiny shingle bay, tucked away from the road, was the harbour of the ancient town of Kharcha. It’s not an easy beach to access; you’ll need to park at the top of the stony track and walk down, a fifteen-minute hike. Once you reach the harbour, you can see a Roman jetty and the area is scattered with fragments of pottery and carved stone.
